- When all the structural steel bids for Boston's landmark new Convention Center went over budget, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority chose to pursue the project with Structal, along with the design team and the construction manager, went to the drawing table in search of Structal cost-saving measures. Through extensive Value Engineering and innovative to the construction of the project, more than $20 million was reduced from the original bid price.
- The Structal team's dedication and participation in the cost reduction effort was instrumental in the ability of the project to move forward. A willingness to look for solutions when they are not easy to find is a hallmark of Structal-Heavy Steel Construction.
