Autographing the last two beams for the New York Giants’ and Jets’ new stadium

Canam plant employees in Point of Rocks, Maryland, and St. Gédéon de Beauce, Quebec, were proud and honored to autograph the last beam fabricated in their respective plants for the future home of the New York Giants and New York Jets (Meadowlands Stadium).

The Structal-Heavy Steel Construction, Technyx and Canam teams worked in close cooperation to fabricate and deliver the steel components for this project, which they did to the great satisfaction of general contractor and customer Skanska Koch. A special event is being planned to mark the erection of the last beam.

Tradition has it that when a steel erection project wraps up and everything has gone smoothly with no serious incidents on site, a ceremony is held to celebrate the erection of the structural steel frame.
