Structal-Heavy Steel Construction completes its deliveries for Citi Field and New Yankee Stadium

The last of the structural steel components destined for Citi Field (the New York Mets’ new ballpark) and New Yankee Stadium were shipped by truck from St. Gédéon de Beauce, Quebec, at the end of March. The second phase of Structal’s contract for Citi Field, which is to erect the structural frame, will be completed in early June.

Structal is now also working on New Meadowlands Stadium, to be shared by the New York Giants and New York Jets, as well as Red Bull Park, future home of the New York Red Bulls.

The structural steel for these two projects, which will also call on the expertise of the Technyx business unit, will be fabricated at the St. Gédéon de Beauce, QC, and Point of Rocks, MD, plants. Both projects are slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2008.
