A group’s communications

Client and general contractor Skanska USA Building, in conjunction with Skanska Koch, recently presented Canam Group with the 2009 Supplier of Choice Award in recognition of the excellent work executed by the Structal-Heavy Steel Construction team in the scope of the construction of New Meadowlands Stadium, the new home of the NY Giants and the NY Jets. A total of six companies from around the world were in the running for the prestigious award. This marks the first time that Skanska USA Building has ever presented the Supplier of Choice Award to a structural steel contractor.

Companies were nominated based on various selection criteria, including health and safety, product and service quality, observance of deadlines, sustainable development, third-tier management, internal training and innovation.

Peter Frantz, vice president of U.S. sales and director of international business development at Structal-Heavy Steel Construction, accepted the award on behalf of Canam Group at a ceremony in Scottsdale, Arizona, that was attended by over 300 people.

The award is proudly displayed in the entrance hall of the Canam Group administrative center in Boucherville.
