Structal-Heavy Steel Construction attends the New Meadowlands Stadium topping out ceremony

Representatives of Canam Group and its Structal-Heavy Steel Construction business unit joined the hundreds of people who gathered on Tuesday, March 10, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, for the New Meadowlands Stadium topping out ceremony.

During the celebration, the owners, workers and dignitaries autographed a huge football attached to the last beam, which was then hoisted to the top of the stadium and secured into place, marking a turning point in the construction of the future home of the New York Giants and Jets.

The construction project is ahead of schedule, much to the satisfaction of general contractor and Structal customer Skanska Koch, with the stadium slated to open in time for the start of the 2010 football season.

It was with the pride of a job well done that the representatives of Canam Group and Structal-Heavy Steel Construction attended the topping out ceremony.
