Canam Group celebrates the Chinese New Year with USSL

A delegation composed of Canam Group and business unit management team members traveled to Guangzhou, China, last February to take part in celebrations organized by the United Steel Structures Limited (USSL) team to ring in the Chinese New Year. Employees from Technyx, a Canam Group business unit that recently opened an office in Guangzhou, equally attended the celebrations. Guests were treated to various performances and tributes during the course of the evening, and Chief Operating Officer Marc Dutil also addressed attendees during a 10-minute speech pronounced in Mandarin.


Many employees were honored during the course of the evening.

Through Canam International, Canam Group holds a 49% interest in United Steel Structures Limited (USSL), a Chinese company that operates a bridge and structural steel fabrication plant in Guangzhou, which is located in southeastern China. The plant has an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons and relies primarily on export markets. Guangzhou Shipyard International Co. Ltd. is the majority shareholder in USSL.
